Wow…sure has been a while! Things have been so much better lately, though busy. I’m finally getting the hang of the domestic end of being a stay-at-home mommy!
Soon I’ll be comfortable enough to actually have people over! GASP! The HORROR! Haha!
Cam has been growing like a weed. He’s starting to get too tall for his 12 month pants, btu I just tried on his 18 month ones, and he’s got about 4 inches to go around the waistline! He’s just a tall stringbean! I’ve also been trying my hand at cutting his hair. So far, only minor mess-ups, so its going good so far! I’d post pictures, but he’s getting close to needing his second Mommy-cut. I’ll be sure to post them after he gets it!
We went out ot my parents’ new house this past weekend. It is absolutely beautiful out there. There are trees and grass as far as the eye can see. The only noises you hear are the breeze, the birds, and an occasional unhappy squirrel. We saw a HUGE group of turkeys while we were there, there was about 4-5 adults and 20 babies! We also saw a few deer, one with two fawns! Of course, my parents, the incredible cooks they are, completely sabotaged my diet, so I’m working double time to get back on track! They had so many blackberry bushes in the woods there, that we filled a gallon bucket full of berries, and could have probably filled 3 more! They were delicious, in case you were wondering!
We went for lots of walks, and explored as much as possible of the 25 acres they have there. We even took out the four-wheeler to trek down the many trails they had. Cam really liked the pond, he giggled every time a frog jumped in the water! Daddy also caught a salamander for him to look at. He was enthralled! Overall, it was a great weekend. We returned home on Sunday filled with great food, relaxed, and happy.
